Quotes from the past:

In my many years I have come to a conclusion that:
one useless man is a shame;
two is a law firm;
and three or more is a Congress.

John Adams

Those are words of a leader describing other leaders. I find it funny but true. The only think I would change in this quote is the word "Useless" and in my opinion I would use the word "cunning". We are all born with a fait and life changes us year by year. Happiness makes us gentle. Trials and tribulations make us strong. Pain makes us human. Failures give us humility. But only our will keep us going. I kept notes from my childhood of many things the elderly thought me. The one that helps me the most today is "TOXIC EMOTIONS":

  • Throbbing headache = trouble in marriage
  • Knot in the neck = tension on the job
  • Fire in joints = fear in heart
  • Lump in the breast = worry on the brain
  • Pain in Pelvis = despair in depth
  • Gnawing in guts = Ghost in the closets
  • Flutter in chest = longing in the soul
  • Blockage in bowel = self criticism in head
  • Rash on skin = demands on your time
  • Shaking in hands = neglect in spirit
  • Craving in the mind = anger under the rug
  • Restless at night = Dreams on back burner
  • Fatigue in bones = romance on the rocks
  • Ache in the back = self esteem at low
  • Growl in voice = dependency on dairy foods
  • Lump in throat = domination by spouse
  • Bulk on hip = putting self last
  • Confusion in the brain = painful past memories
  • Coolness towards sex = feeling of powerlessness
  • Heavy menstrual flow = being misunderstood
  • Sadness in the heart = muffing of emotions.

I still live examining my emotions when I feel aches and pains. Doctors give out pain pills, antidepressant and different type medications but doctors can never know what kind of emotional stress we are going through and therefore they can never judge all the pains attached to our emotions. I find very healthy to examine my self-emotions and what is happening in my life at the moment before determining that my pains are physical and running to the doctor for help. We can cure ourselves with our own will and by knowing our own selves.
